Suzuki has revamped its line-up of compact super high wagons with the release of the third-generation models of "SPACIA" and "SPACIA Custom" in November 2023.

The initial iteration of SPACIA was introduced in 2013, and with the arrival of this third-generation model, Suzuki has enhanced its design and features to adapt to changing lifestyles, diverse drivers, and evolving automotive environments.

In terms of the new SPACIA's exterior, it retains the square-ish image inherited from the previous model while incorporating updates to the finer details. Notable changes include the adoption of new body-side press lines and a rounder, more squared-off shape for the headlights, along with modifications to the front grille and other design elements, resulting in a friendlier appearance. In the case of the SPACIA Custom, changes to the front bumper and headlight shapes have added a sharper impression. Additionally, the inclusion of sequential turn signals with a horizontal design beneath the headlights enhances visibility.

Inside the SPACIA, a brown-themed interior creates a comfortable cabin atmosphere, with matte-textured café latte accents on the side louver garnish and upper door sections. The seats feature a gray-themed color-melange upholstery.

In contrast, the SPACIA Custom's interior maintains a black base but introduces a contrasting combination of semi-matte Bordeaux and glossy piano black accents, creating an upscale and calming ambiance. The seats are finished with a suede-like texture, adding a glamorous touch to the design.

One of the standout features is the introduction of Suzuki's first-ever "Multi-Use Flap" in the rear seat area. This flap can be adjusted to various angles, providing leg support and ottoman-like functionality when seated. When needed for securing items like shopping bags on the seat, it can be set in an upright position, adapting to different usage scenarios and lifestyles.

The powertrains for the new SPACIA and SPACIA Custom models remain similar to their predecessors, offering both naturally aspirated (NA) engine and turbocharged engine options, all equipped with mild hybrid systems. Both 2WD and 4WD variants are available across all models.

In terms of safety features, the new SPACIA and SPACIA Custom models mark Suzuki's debut of the "Dual Sensor Brake Support II" collision mitigation system, which not only covers collisions with vehicles and pedestrians but also extends its protection to bicycles and motorbikes. This wider scope enhances collision avoidance and damage reduction across a broader range of scenarios.
